This role requires effective communication skills, technical competence, and the ability to concentrate and monitor instrument, sharps, and sponge counts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient care activities in the operating room setting.
- Perform scrub activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Monitor instrument, sharps, and sponge counts.
- Read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Preferred bilingual English/Spanish skills.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technician required.
- Current CPR Training Program.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program of study required.
- One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred.
