Mold Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker / Tool and Die professional to join our team at NYX, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building or repairing all types of plastic injection molds, assembling and testing complex tools and molds in production.

• Read and interpret blueprints or work from verbal or written instructions, sketches, or from the actual part to be copied or fitted.
• Plan the setup and operation of various tool shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, and machine tool feeds and speeds.
• Heat treat and weld parts as required.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during, and after machining.
• Use hand tools of the trade for modifications as required.
• Fits and assembles mold parts, tools, and dies. Sets up, runs off, and tests molds to produce a product meeting specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and making any necessary modifications.
• May assist machinists in injection molding press overhaul.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tool shop tools and equipment.
• Experience with precision measuring and gauging tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
