About the Role

Buckner Retirement Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Director to join our team at The Stayton by Museum Way by Buckner. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall positive experience and enrichment of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement resident lifestyle service functions to maximize enjoyment and fulfillment.
  • Create and implement comprehensive programming for various functions, including large groups, small groups, and individual participation.
  • Conduct resident surveys to understand desires and interests for maximum resident engagement.
  • Maintain effective communication through various media channels, including social apps, inter-community technology, newsletters, and community announcements.
  • Coordinate transportation to meet or exceed resident needs and desires for outings, activities, shopping, and related leisure or business purposes.
  • Establish and maintain local relationships with special interest providers for leisure enjoyment.
  • Develop and oversee new resident orientation and onboarding processes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the senior housing industry or event planning, or a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated affinity toward senior adults.
  • Organization and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for special events, as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
  • Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable.
