Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers in selecting merchandise. Your duties will include:

  • Greeting customers and offering assistance with product selection.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Processing transactions accurately using cash registers, including handling cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and properly labeled.
  • Conducting periodic inventory counts and assisting in stock replenishment.
  • Implementing pricing changes and promotional displays as directed.
  • Adhering to loss prevention policies and being vigilant about inventory shrinkage.
  • Following established safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Working weekends as required.
  • Performing additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Ability to assist customers and operate a cash register, demonstrated through reading and understanding product information and performing basic arithmetic.
  2. Capability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, with the ability to stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier.
