Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a compassionate and dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Williston, ND. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services to our nation's veterans.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Conduct physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to diagnose and treat various health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, working closely with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Promote preventive care and health education to patients, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in a primary care setting, preferably in a government healthcare environment.
  • Current licensure and DEA registration; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor, with a focus on achieving excellent patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
