Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Mount Washington Preschool and Child Care Center, Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-30 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with co-teachers to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Assume responsibility for the classroom, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Provide responsive caregiving, including diapering, feeding, and soothing.
  • Support the Supervisor in maintaining a high-quality program that adheres to state licensing codes and NAEYC standards.
  • Document children's developmental growth through assessments, observations, and reports.
  • Communicate with parents through regular conferences and updates.
  • Model positive behavior, attitude, and language for children and colleagues.
  • Participate in classroom and center meetings, as well as training workshops.
Requirements:
  • Working towards an AA, BA, or MA in Early Childhood Development, Human Development, or a related field.
  • 24 units in child development and 3 Infant/Toddler units.
  • Certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • Current immunization shots and TB test.
  • Computer skills in Internet Software and Word Processing Software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
