About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at Johnson County Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member in the Lifetime Fitness Center, you will be responsible for instructing patrons in proper use of equipment, teaching appropriate workout exercises, and monitoring the safety and activity of all patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct patrons in proper use of equipment and teach appropriate workout exercises
  • Monitor the safety and activity of all patrons in the Lifetime Fitness Center
  • Provide CPR/AED certification and first aid as needed
  • Supervise the Lifetime Fitness Center monitors and oversee cleaning duties and sanitation procedures
Requirements
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Bachelor's degree and HLC-approved personal training certification
  • Ability to perform physical tasks when needed
  • Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Health or Wellness or HLC-approved certifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous fitness center or health club experience
