Key Responsibilities
  • Review medication orders from physicians and physician extenders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Dispense medications after verifying patient allergies, medical history, and potential drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan patient care and discharge planning.
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy students and technicians to ensure accuracy and safety in medication preparation.
  • Provide drug information support to healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a hospital or advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) in a clinical setting.
  • PA Pharmacist License (RPH-LIC) required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
Work Schedule

Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with possible work at other sites.

Shifts: 2:30p - 11p, 12:30pm - 9pm.
