Machinist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Ingersoll Rand. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines to produce dimensions and tolerances of finished work-pieces and setup requirements.
  • Cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines.
  • Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit control information for CNC machines.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
  • Utilize a variety of measurement tools and methods to evaluate finished parts against specifications.
  • Rework parts that don't meet specifications.
  • Follow all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment and performing hoist inspections.
  • Route completed parts to next machine according to the routing sequence.
  • Perform data entry on the computer to update part locations.
  • Operate with the close attention to detail required to meet print specifications, down to in tolerances.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 5 years machining experience at a minimum
