Position Summary:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our community. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute cleaning tasks as per the established schedule in designated areas including resident apartments, communal spaces, and administrative offices.
  • Thoroughly sweep, dust, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are kept in pristine condition.
  • Sanitize and polish restroom fixtures and facilities, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Scrub and maintain tiles, woodwork, and window frames to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and maintained in good condition.
  • Collect and dispose of waste from work areas, adhering to designated disposal protocols.
  • Oversee the community laundry operations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring all cleaning supplies are secured and that work areas are free from hazards.
  • Report any maintenance needs or supply shortages to the Lead Housekeeper.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall cleanliness of the community.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in interacting with residents.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated interest in serving the senior population.
  • Exhibit a friendly and courteous demeanor when engaging with residents and staff.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving items as required.
