Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week

Experience: One year of experience preferred

License: State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet patient needs.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process in accordance with care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical


Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.


Demonstrate competency in various therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.


Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each


Provide patient/family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability; evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.


Recognize the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs.


Deliver care with respect for cultural differences and the diversity of human experience.


Delegate to non-RN personnel in accordance with state Board of Nursing and hospital policy.


Use time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.


Serve as a professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing processes.


Manage resources and patient flow through matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.


Use standards of care, hospital policies/procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.


Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.


Precept/mentor new staff or nursing students as needed and seek out learning opportunities and continuing


Seek experiences that reflect current practice to maintain skills and competence in clinical practice or role performance.
