Position Summary:
NimbusNest, Inc. is currently in search of a qualified Travel Nurse RN specializing in Intermediate Care. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met.

Job Details:

Submission Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Provide an updated resume showcasing a minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU along with documented travel experience
  • Submit 2 recent references from MS Charge/Manager RN
  • Complete a skills checklist relevant to the specialty
  • Present a valid driver’s license with matching address
  • Hold current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and complete a Critical Care Course/ECCO (ACCN)
  • Include a NURSYS report for license verification with an ACTIVE NY License
  • Indicate RTO at the time of submission
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required

Unit Details:
  • Unit: IMCU
  • Shift Timing: 7 PM to 7 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
  • Overtime: Available after 48 hours
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3-5
  • Floating: Required
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Common Diagnoses:
Patients may present with conditions such as Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, and Respiratory issues including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care.

Specialty Equipment:
Experience with equipment such as Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo is essential.

Required Medications:
Familiarity with administering Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Cleviprex, Precedex, Dopamine, Amiodarone, Cardene, Dobutrex, and Neo is necessary, with exceptions noted for 1-2 if all others are present and competent.

Ventilator Experience:
Knowledge of managing chronic ventilators that are unable to wean, with respiratory therapy assistance available.

Compensation:
The pay package is structured around 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend to be determined.
