Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As an Ambulance Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in coordinating transportation for emergency and non-emergency medical responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process calls from multiple sources, including 911 Dispatch Center, Hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Accurately enter required information into the CAD system to ensure accurate patient and billing information.
  • Triangulate and prioritize requests based on policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and prioritize transportation utilizing the most appropriate resources for 911 calls, emergent, non-emergent, and prescheduled requests.
  • Manage deployment and system status for greatest efficiency and coverage.
  • Supervise all radio talk-groups, phone systems, and other communication methods.
  • Accurately handle all information and requests from various communication systems in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification within 3 months of hire
  • CPR Certification (AHA/Red Cross)
  • Preferred: 6 months of EMS or Public Safety experience, NREMT certification
