We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Clerk to join our team at our Nevada City Hwy, Grass Valley, CA 95945 location. As a Head Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining total store conditions, directing employees in all departments, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

• Monitor and execute promotional displays, schematics, and resets to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Analyze sales data, take inventory, and submit product orders to optimize stock levels and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure efficient and safe stockroom operations, including shelving and displaying merchandise to maintain a visually appealing store environment.
• Direct and oversee the activities of checkers, service clerks, and other team members to provide timely and efficient customer service, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Perform other senior or general clerk assignments as needed.

• Proven experience in retail management, with a strong understanding of product pricing, store layout, and safe work practices.
• Ability to learn and retain company policies and procedures, work effectively in a team environment, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

A four-year college degree or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience is required. Minimum six months of experience as a Key Carrier or 9 months as a Perimeter Department Manager (or equivalent grocery retail management experience) is preferred.
