We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Minnesota State Gov. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of our shop, public works facility, and surrounding outdoor space to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
- Perform routine safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment, and maintain detailed maintenance records to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with our mechanics to perform vehicle and equipment repairs, and order and pick up parts and equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and excellence by identifying and reporting potential hazards, and participating in ongoing training and development programs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
