About the Position

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Business Analytics and Decision Sciences to join our team. As a Lecturer, you will play a critical role in teaching and mentoring students in our Business Analytics and Decision Sciences program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a normal instructional load of undergraduate courses in Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Statistics, or Decision Sciences, including courses such as Management Information Systems, IT management, programming courses for business applications, data visualization, and more.
  • Mentor students to increase their professional development, career advancement, and engagement in experiential learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
  • Perform scholarly activities, service, and professional engagement activities consistent with the Cofrin School of Business expectations for a Lecturer.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of the Cofrin School of Business and participate in AASCB accreditation efforts.
Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree in Data Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Decision Sciences, IT (with a focus on business applications of IT), or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of business work experience.
  • Knowledge of programming and software like Python and R, along with knowledge of visualization software such as Tableau.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
  • Evidence of engagement in institutional, community, or professional service endeavors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Earned doctorate or ABD candidate in Data Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Decision Sciences, IT (with a focus on business applications of IT), or a closely related field from an institution supporting an AACSB-accredited business school.
  • 5 years of business work experience.
