Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of social services programs in our facility.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, including mental health professionals and support staff.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, including wellness recovery action plans and trauma-informed care.
  • Oversight of treatment program implementation and coordination of referrals to external services.
  • Develop and coordinate educational in-services for staff.
  • Provide clinical case supervision and oversight of treatment personnel.
  • Assess potential residents and develop Performance Improvement Project (PIP) tools to enhance care delivery.

Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts Qualifications:

  • Meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.).
  • At least two years of experience in direct care of individuals with psychiatric disorders.
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and delegate authority.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
