Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a full-time position. As a key member of our special education team, you will provide assessment, consultation, and direct occupational therapy to students enrolled in or referred to special education programs.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' skills and abilities in areas such as oral motor, sensory, integration, motor planning, fine motor skills, developmental function, reflex, and range of motion.
  • Reporting and Communication: Create detailed reports that describe the results of assessments and provide clear interpretations to parents and IEP teams.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with students' families and staff on the implementation of educational programs that support the development of motor skills.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor students' progress and inform parents and teachers of advancements.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in IEP development and updates to create short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Illinois state licensure and relevant school OT experience.
