Release Manager Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Release Manager to join their team.

About the Job

The Release Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing releases, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain release plans, considering project timelines, resources, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate release risks, ensuring successful deployment.
  • Coordinate interfaces between Change Management and other ITSM processes, ensuring efficient release execution.
  • Facilitate the triage of issues found during release-related activities, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Identify and escalate risks and concerns, ensuring proactive issue management.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of release-related tools, such as Remedy, Cutover, MS Project, Jira, and Release Manager Tool.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools, such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Experience working in a financial industry is a plus.
  • Jira experience is a plus.
  • ITSM Remedy experience is a plus.
