Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer Intern will support the Electrical team in Merrick's Life Sciences business unit, working on a wide range of projects including biocontainment laboratories and research facilities. This role will offer the chance to work on real client projects, develop technical skills, and receive unparalleled training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for various projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify solutions to complex electrical engineering problems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project discussions
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • U.S. Citizenship required for client projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience with power distribution design software (SKM, PowerTools, Easy Power)
  • Local candidates preferred
