We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Substance Abuse Specialist to join our team at New Horizon Counseling Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to individuals with substance use disorders.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for helping others. You will be responsible for leading clinical meetings regarding substance abuse issues and incorporating findings into service plans. Additionally, you will lead integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT) sessions and identify services that clients should receive based on severity of substance use diagnosis, stage of change, and immediate needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading clinical meetings to discuss substance abuse issues and incorporate findings into service plans
  • Leading IDDT sessions to address complex substance use and mental health needs
  • Identifying services that clients require based on their unique circumstances
  • Providing substance use assessments and diagnoses, promoting harm reduction, and applying assertive outreach and stage-wise treatment

About the Position

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This position offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience working in human services with an SMI/SUD population. You should also possess extensive knowledge of Assertive Community Treatment, community-integrated treatment, support services, and resources.
