Job Summary:

Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital seeks a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team on Nights. As a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document test results, quality control, maintenance procedures, and associated corrective actions according to policy and procedure.
  • Manage daily lab operations, including collections, sample processing, results reporting and distribution, personnel direction, and clerical duties to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Interact with hospital personnel, volunteers, physicians, and patients regarding specimens and orders coming into the Laboratory and/or reporting results out according to policies and procedures of the Laboratory Services.

Requirements:

Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in biological science (equivalency required for foreign education).
  • Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International), Certified CLS (ASCP), or Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) CM certification.

Additional Requirements:
  • Four 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
  • Schedule flexibility is required.
