Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class B CDL Driver to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering building materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class B CDL vehicle to transport and deliver building materials to customer sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials, adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Load and unload materials, securing them properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Verify order details and maintain accurate logs of delivery duties, including mileage and locations.
  • Act as a customer service liaison, resolving issues and providing excellent service to our customers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, performing routine safety checks.
  • Use handheld devices to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.
  • Perform credit/product return pick-ups and related paperwork.
  • Operate a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and unload materials.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license, and a Class B CDL license.
  • Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience, 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, Class B CDL license, and pass MVR report.
  • Obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language.

  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and on occasion may be required to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds.
  • May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
  • Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.).
