Your Role in Patient Care: As an Access Coordinator II at UAMS Family Medical Clinic, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient interactions and care processes. Your primary responsibilities include:

* Greeting patients, answering phones, and coordinating appointments, referrals, consults, tests, and procedures
* Checking in and registering patients, collecting payments, and verifying insurance coverage
* Responding to third-party payers' requirements and communicating effectively with patients, medical staff, and administrative teams
* Performing tasks such as sorting and distributing incoming mail, generating reports, and assisting with front desk operations

To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of customer service or healthcare experience are minimum qualifications. Proficiency in MS Office and experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in registration, billing, or scheduling, are significant assets.
