Our facility provides a comprehensive array of services, including onsite x-ray, health management, treatment for cold and flu symptoms, suturing, and more.

We are currently seeking a PRN Radiologic Imaging Specialist to enhance our team.


Primary Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist is tasked with delivering fundamental clinical care to patients. Key responsibilities include conducting initial clinical assessments and executing directed procedures pertinent to urgent care. This role involves performing x-ray examinations while utilizing knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The Specialist will prepare patients for further medical evaluation by advanced registered nurse practitioners by collecting brief medical histories, establishing vital signs, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Duties Include:
  • Welcoming patients courteously and efficiently.
  • Managing patient check-in and check-out processes to facilitate smooth patient flow.
  • Maintaining clear communication with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their treatment.
  • Identifying patient concerns and seeking assistance in urgent situations.
  • Providing timely updates on lab and x-ray results.
  • Assisting with patient check-in/out procedures as necessary.
  • Accurately recording patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
  • Administering medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider, within the scope of licensure/certification.
  • Performing laboratory tasks, including CLIA-waived tests, blood draws, and specimen collection.
  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and reporting any issues to the Center Manager.
  • Completing necessary documentation related to patient visits.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization within examination rooms.
  • Following infection control guidelines and upholding patient confidentiality.
  • Executing phlebotomy, injections, and other medical procedures as directed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Acting with integrity in all professional interactions.
  • Maintaining consistent attendance.
  • Conducting radiologic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Completing patient screening forms and explaining procedures to patients.
  • Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Providing images in the required format to the facility.
  • Conducting quality checks on equipment and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment within the facility.
  • Adhering to quality assurance protocols and ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Graduation from an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
LMRT Certification
NCT Certification

Certifications:
BLS Certification
1 year of experience preferred

Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in medical terminology.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to assist patients using wheelchairs or stretchers when necessary.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Effective communication with patients and medical staff.
Willingness to assist Radiologists in interpreting exams.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and assist with patient movement.

Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts
Availability on weekdays and weekends
