About the Role

We are seeking an ER Admissions Coordinator to join our team at WVU Medicine. As an ER Admissions Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow through the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately obtain demographic and insurance information from patients and families
  • Greet and register patients in a timely and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience in patient registration or admissions preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Proficient in computer software and equipment required
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. You must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
