Job Summary

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Gettysburg, PA. As a LPN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced contract/travel setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients under the guidance of RNs or physicians, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Patient Assessments: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews, to develop personalized care plans.
  • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, adhering to established protocols.
  • Wound Care: Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries while monitoring for infection or complications.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices to promote overall well-being.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent infections from spreading.
  • Medication Handling: Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN License: Possess a valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
  • BLS Certification: Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
