We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit at North Ottawa Community Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, including prioritizing patient care and managing staff.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Current BLS and PEARS for Medical Surgical Unit certification, ACLS for Intensive Care Unit.
- Ability to successfully complete the general orientation and unit competency inventory/staff development plan.
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language effectively.
This position requires frequent standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
