Job Title: Grounds Technician

Job Summary:

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled Grounds Technician to join our team. As a Grounds Technician, you will be responsible for performing physical building maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness of homeowner associations and properties managed by Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to the Maintenance Director in all matters relating to the operations of the Maintenance Department for Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.
  • Assists in the established work program for the Grounds Department, including hours of operation and extent of coverage deemed necessary by the Maintenance Director.
  • Responsible for picking up trash and emptying trash cans, cleaning of walkways and decks, checking automatic lighting, repairing issues found around grounds, maintaining dog bag stations, and notifying the Director of Property Maintenance of serious issues found.
  • Complies with OSHA requirements and monitors safety procedures with the Grounds staff.
  • Ensures that employees follow all safety guidelines as outlined in our Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Assists in securing and maintaining all tools and equipment assigned to the Grounds Department, including periodic inventory and reporting any deficiencies to the Maintenance Director.
  • Assists in taking inventory and maintaining a necessary amount of supplies and repair parts to efficiently operate the Grounds Department.
  • Carries out any other duties related to the Grounds Department as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED diploma.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of groundskeeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with maintenance or other mechanical work.
  • Welding experience.

Work Environment:

This role operates in both an outdoor and indoor environment, with exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather. Must be able to work long shifts, have a varied work schedule, and work under pressure when necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, year-round position with primarily daytime work hours. Some evening work may be required due to the seven-day per week nature of the resort.
