Transportation Trainee

Job Summary:

The Driver Trainee position at Cooper-Booth Wholesale Company is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in the transportation industry. As a Driver Trainee, you will be trained to work as a Driver Helper while attending a CBW-approved driving school. Following completion of driving school and obtaining your CDL, you will complete paid on-the-job training for making deliveries as you continue to learn route driving.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Drivers with Deliveries: Help the driver with the loading, unloading, and delivery of products to customers, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Product Handling: Safely handle and transport goods, ensuring they are delivered in good condition.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers during deliveries.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
• Route Navigation: Support the driver in planning and navigating delivery routes.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Assist the driver in conducting routine vehicle inspections.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior professional driving experience required.
