Young Men's Christian Association of Wichita Kansas is seeking a qualified Infant Aide to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and education to young children.

About the Role

The Infant Aide will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of lesson plans, monitoring developmental progress, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for children. This includes supervising playground activities, facilitating learning through participation and encouragement, and addressing and greeting parents by name.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing weekly lessons and activities, and monitor developmental progress of students.
  • Follow posted lesson plans and classroom schedule as directed by Teacher.
  • Participate in planning and record observations as directed by Teacher for developmental progress and behavior concerns.
  • Facilitate children's learning through participation and encouragement.
  • Supervise playground activities and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year program management experience, with some social service and/or behavior management experience preferred.
  • CPR, AED, First Aid, and O2 certification or acquire within 30 days of hire.
  • Must attend NEO within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a licensed child care.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate effectively with people and monitor property and activity.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 35lbs.
  • Must be able to bend and squat repetitively.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform light physical activity.
Job Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience. The Young Men's Christian Association of Wichita Kansas offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
