Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician - Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Turner Mining Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical systems on our mine site, ensuring their repair and maintenance are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AC/DC drive systems, AC/DC motors, electrical shovel, electrical power distribution, protection systems, metering, PLC's, and lighting systems.
  • Equipment Operation: Move, haul, and lift equipment as required by the repair or maintenance being performed.
  • Parts Procurement: Learn to order parts, specify certain parts when ordering, and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Training and Development: Train for higher levels of responsibility and contribute to the development of other department personnel.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Manage the RMGC Environmental Health and Safety Management system in your areas of responsibility.
  • Compliance and Performance: Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management, exercise discretion and judgment in job performance, and work without risk or harm to self and others.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and demonstrate strong administrative, organizational, and technical writing skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Electrical background required; either a college or technical degree or Journeyman.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of electronics and electrical power, ability to accurately complete appropriate paperwork, and working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
  • Physical Demands: Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in a general industrial environment, and the incumbent may be asked to work straight days or shiftwork with overtime as needed.
