Radiology Technologist Job Description

Sigma Healthcare is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to join our team in Juneau, AK. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of medical imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT), radiography, and mammography.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT, radiography, and mammography, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CT scanners, radiography machines, and mammography units.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks to ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly.
  • Document patient information, exam results, and quality control data in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a radiology technologist, with a focus on CT, radiography, and mammography.
  • ARRT certification in radiography, computed tomography, and mammography.
  • Knowledge of radiation physics and protection, as well as anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with healthcare professionals and maintain effective communication skills.
