Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team at UMOS. As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to children aged 0-5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct home visits and parent/teacher conferences to ensure effective communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Implement the Creative Curriculum System, UMOS School Readiness Plan, and the Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework to create engaging and interactive learning environments.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans in conjunction with parents to address each child's unique needs and track their progress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of child development screenings, assessments, and observations.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment by implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Infant and Toddler CDA (Infant and Toddler classroom only) or equivalent.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English (oral and written).
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and internet.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with adequate car insurance.
Work Environment

The Classroom Teacher will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and respectfully, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
