Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Vertical Health Services. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving communication and swallowing
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience in Skilled nursing, Long term care or acute care
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions
  • Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Strong case management skills to coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families
