Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and take beverage orders from servers or directly from guests.
  • Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures.
  • Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
  • Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
  • Prepare inventory and maintain a clean and organized bar area.
  • Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience at a fast-paced dining establishment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and tending bar, with the ability to learn and follow recipes.
  • A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food, wine, spirits, and customer service.
  • Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • The ability to multi-task and work well in a high-volume environment.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Must have a valid food handler card.
