Job Overview:
At Platypus Marine, Inc., we are looking for a skilled Master Welder - Ship Repair Specialist to join our team in Port Angeles, WA. As a master welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating aluminum components for marine vessels and related structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex welding tasks, including MIG & TIG welding, on marine vessels and ship structures.
  • Develop and implement welding procedures to meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality welds and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Operate equipment related to the job, including forklifts, hoists, slings, press brakes, shear machine, hydraulic rolls.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum fabrication and/or welding, preferably in a shipyard or similar environment. You should also have expertise in MIG and TIG welding techniques on aluminum materials and excellent problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 per year, plus benefits including comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) plan with company matching, and annual vacation award.
