About the Position

Bowdoin College's Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in diversity science at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in diversity science, with a focus on quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches to the investigation of discrimination, prejudice, racism, culture, context, power, privilege, and/or identity.
  • Teach two courses per semester, with a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.
  • Develop and maintain a research program that demonstrates a promise of long-term successful research and/or creative work.
  • Contribute to the College's commitment to inclusive excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Psychology or a related field, expected by date of appointment.
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and inclusive excellence in teaching, research, and service.
