Position: Right-of-Way Agent

Overview:

We are seeking a qualified candidate with experience in fields such as Real Estate, Right of Way, Permitting, Surveying, or Title Research.

Job Responsibilities:

The Right-of-Way Agent plays a crucial role in securing land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other essential documents necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution systems.

This position involves:

  1. Negotiating with property owners or their representatives to acquire necessary rights for the construction, enhancement, or upkeep of electric distribution facilities.
  2. Assisting in resolving damage claims with property owners related to any damages incurred during construction or maintenance activities.
  3. Conducting thorough searches of public records to ascertain current property ownership and related interests.
  4. Drafting essential documents such as easements, licenses, leases, and contracts to secure rights for electric distribution projects.
  5. Providing support to various business units regarding land acquisition processes and inquiries.
  6. Collaborating with other departments to address challenges affecting right-of-way procurement and timelines.
  7. Building and maintaining positive relationships with the public, landowners, and government agencies at all levels.
  8. Ensuring adherence to safety practices to protect employees, the public, and equipment.
  9. Responding proactively to inquiries and concerns related to company right-of-way activities.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
