UPMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Staff Nurse to join our Preadmissions Testing team on a casual basis. As a member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: You will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, and providing care to patients in the Preadmissions Testing office. This will involve working collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Care Team: As a Professional Staff Nurse, you will establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, executives, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: You will actively participate in department-specific quality improvement efforts, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking personal responsibility for enhancing patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- Develop and Maintain Skills: You will be expected to develop and maintain your skills and knowledge in areas such as adult learning principles, teaching, and critical thinking to provide high-quality patient care.
- Licensure and Certifications: You must be currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state where the facility is located or have a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, and a minimum of six months of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
