Role Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Epicor Support Specialist to enhance our IT department. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering technical assistance, resolving issues, and providing expert guidance to users of the Epicor ERP platform. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining the efficient functioning and enhancement of Epicor operations, thereby supporting our organizational success.
Key Duties:
- User Assistance & Training: Deliver prompt and effective support to users, addressing inquiries related to Epicor functionalities, workflows, and system performance.
- System Management: Aid in the setup, upkeep, and oversight of the Epicor ERP system, including the administration of user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and rectify technical challenges within the Epicor environment, such as connectivity issues, data discrepancies, and system malfunctions.
- Customization & Enhancement: Collaborate with the development team to tailor and improve Epicor modules to align with business needs, including the creation and modification of dashboards, reports, and operational processes.
- Documentation: Keep comprehensive records of support activities, system configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- System Upgrades & Patches: Assist in the planning, testing, and deployment of Epicor system upgrades, patches, and new releases.
- Integration Support: Collaborate with other IT and business units to ensure seamless integration of Epicor with additional enterprise systems, such as CRM, MES, and financial applications.
- Data Oversight: Manage data integrity within Epicor, including data import/export and backup operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements for systems and processes to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all Epicor-related activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in an Epicor support capacity or a similar ERP environment.
- Solid understanding of Epicor modules (e.g., Financials, Manufacturing, Supply Chain).
- Experience with SQL and other database management tools.
- Technical Proficiencies:
- Expertise in Epicor ERP system, including configuration, customization, and administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management methodologies.
- Knowledge of business operations in manufacturing, finance, and distribution.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epicor Certification(s).
- Experience with Epicor version 10 or later.
- Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience with BI tools and reporting functionalities in Epicor.
