About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team at Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, CA. As a key member of our West Coast Nuclear Services Group, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review and check designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
  • Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with designated work assignments
  • Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems
  • Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up
  • Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear Industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes and standard office production software
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Familiar with the International Building Code and building code design
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and working stress and ultimate strength design approaches

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $170,000 per year, depending on your location and experience. We also offer excellent benefits and career opportunities as part of our culture of excellence.
