Key Responsibilities

  • Teach PHY 202 General Physics I: Electricity & Magnetism to students at our institution
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Stay current with developments in the field of physics and incorporate relevant research and best practices into the curriculum

Requirements

  • Master's degree in physics or an appropriate engineering discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate-level coursework in appropriate physics and/or engineering courses
  • Or master's degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in graduate-level physics
  • Previous experience teaching algebra-based physics at the college level
  • Ability to work with course management systems such as Blackboard

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching at the college level
  • Use of microcomputer-based labs
  • Ability to work with course management systems such as Blackboard
