Role Summary:The Staff Nuclear Pharmacist will play a critical role in assisting the Pharmacy Manager in ensuring the safe, effective, and client-focused operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:- Compound, prepare, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions and Company, State, and Federal regulations.
- Perform Quality Control testing on all dispensed products, assessing medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
- Comply with all Company, State, and Federal requirements for the handling and shipping of radioactive material.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing pharmacy staff, technicians, lab workers, and drivers.
- Monitor and control operational expenses, inventory, and purchasing of supplies within the pharmacy.
- Provide clinical support for customers with radiopharmaceutical questions.
- Provide training and instruction to pharmacy technicians, lab assistants, and nuclear medicine technology students.
- Registered Pharmacist with 1+ years of nuclear pharmacist experience.
- Active pharmacy license in the state worked in.
- NRC or state Authorized User Status designation in the state worked in.
- Ability to work a variety of schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
