As a Family Support Specialist, the coordinator will assist individuals, families, and relative caregivers by offering information and referrals to resources tailored to their specific needs.


Key Responsibilities - Family Support and Education Coordinator:
  • Design, implement, and co-facilitate a diverse array of evidence-based educational programs, workshops, and support groups that cater to the varied needs of families.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of educational events, collaborating with both internal and external partners to ensure comprehensive coverage of topics.
  • Manage educational materials and resources to support effective program delivery, staying updated on current research and best practices in family support.

  • Maintain accurate records of program participation, feedback, and outcomes, generating reports to evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in parenting and family dynamics, participating in professional development to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities - Family Support Specialist:
  • Conduct individual visits to families to provide personalized instruction, develop support plans, and deliver educational materials related to child development.
  • Facilitate coaching sessions with families to support their self-directed goals.
  • Maintain organized records for assigned families.
  • Provide necessary data for reporting across multiple database platforms.
  • Engage with the community to connect with caregivers and identify their needs.
  • Assist in creating tailored Family Support Plans.
  • Help families access various benefits and services, including navigating educational systems and connecting to health services.
  • Facilitate group sessions and participate in community events.
  • Support organizational compliance with accreditation and licensing standards.
  • Stay updated on resources that may benefit participants.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals and families in community settings.
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate registration and insurance.
