The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking applications for a Semester Instructor appointment (temporary position; less than 10 hours per week) to teach a Capstone Design course. Responsibilities include guiding multiple teams of students through a comprehensive two-semester design project, conducting office hours, evaluating assignments, and submitting grades.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Delivering course content and assisting students with their assignments.
- Fostering an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Demonstrating a commitment to student achievement.
- Collaborating with fellow educators.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree or equivalent.
- Professional experience in electrical, computer, or a closely related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to teaching that aligns with the institution's core values.
Preferred:
- Experience in educational settings, including K-12 or higher education as an instructor or teaching assistant.
