Job Title: Apartment Maintenance Technician

Penn Apartment Staffing is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment communities.

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and perform all necessary repairs to the apartment community, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical.
  • Maintenance Management: Manage all community upkeep/maintenance needs and oversee the performance of the maintenance team.
  • Property Compliance: Work closely with the property manager to ensure all property compliance and projects are executed accordingly.
  • Service Request Management: Close service requests upon completion and document maintenance updates.
  • Daily Property Walks: Conduct daily property walks, document deficiencies, and ensure the property and premises are well maintained.
  • Turnover Services: Manage vendors providing turnover services and ensure compliance with all make-ready repairs and services.
  • Vendor Oversight: Oversee all vendor activities at the property.
  • Communication: Notify residents and management offices of any maintenance-related updates.
  • Task Delegation: Perform maintenance tasks personally and delegate to assistants, overseeing and occasionally inspecting work performed.
  • Scheduling: Schedule maintenance personnel in conjunction with the manager for emergency purposes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle common repairs and situations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Appliance Repair, Electrical, Plumbing, and possession of own basic tools.
