Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood and other bodily fluids.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes and automated analyzers.
  • Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a program in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Recognized Medical Technologist by the State of Tennessee and meet their existing educational requirements.
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
  • Licenses: License as Medical Technologist in the state of Tennessee required.

Work Environment:

This is a per diem/PRN position, rotating weekends and various shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
