About the Role:

First Student is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and shop staff to ensure efficient and effective repairs

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive or diesel maintenance and repair
  • Technical school education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain CDL while employed (training provided)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
