We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, and writing orders.
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the emergency department, including assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with consultants.
- Work in a clinic environment, providing diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage to patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and prescribing medications.
- Collaborate with our ICU team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to daily care decisions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- A current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
